Early Hammond #2 Typewriter
An all-original wood-cased Hammond No. 2 typewriter that dates to the late 1880's and was, at the time it was introduced, one of the best -- if not the best -- typewriters that money could buy, selling for $100 when the average monthly salary for an American worker was around $30.
