Antique Bird Cage With Animated Duck
This special large cage, attributed to famed automaton maker Phalibois, features a singing bird on a perch and a duck, bobbing his head and beak up and down while the bird sings. Stands about 22” tall, with ring hanger atop. We have never seen another example similar to this.

Antique Cage With Large Bird
This unique and rare cage features a life-size animated bird. The mechanical works are by the French firm of Charles Bontems. The origin of the case and cage, while contemporary to the mechanism, was probably supplied by outside artisans, and made to custom order for a special client of the day.

This vintage cage was also made by Bontems, and stands about 11” high. Fully restored and in perfect condition.
